The Heritage Center

The Heritage Center, an event center, is a historic 1920s brick building owned and operated by the City of Lanark and is available for social and commercial use by residents of Lanark and the surrounding community. This welcoming facility has a seating capacity of 125, is fully accessible, and features a full-service kitchen, a 60-inch flat-screen television, and Wi-Fi access. The City encourages residents and community members to take advantage of this wonderful local resource for gatherings, celebrations, and events.

How to Reserve the Heritage Center:
To reserve the facility for your next event, please follow the steps below:

1. Check the event calendar to ensure your preferred date is available.
2. Download the Heritage Center Rental Agreement Form or pick up a copy at City Hall, and complete all required information.
3. Submit the completed agreement along with your payment (made payable to “City of Lanark”) to City Hall. Please provide these materials to the City Clerk or City Treasurer.
4. Once your agreement and payment have been received, your reservation will be confirmed and added to the event calendar.

The facility doors will be programmed to automatically unlock and secure based on the times listed in your agreement. If the doors are not open at your scheduled time, please contact City Hall. After regular business hours, you may reach the Maintenance Department at 815-493-6832.

If your plans change and you need to cancel or adjust your reservation, please contact City Hall at 815-493-68321. Our staff will be happy to assist you.
